Williams was named the National Freshman of the Year in 2000 before earning National Player of the Year honors following his sophomore and junior seasons. Williams was drafted second overall by the Chicago Bulls in the 2002 NBA Draft. A two-time All-America and three-time All-ACC pick, Williams ranks eighth on Duke’s all-time scoring list with 2,079 career points. On the Duke career charts, Williams ranks third in three-point field goals made (313), fourth in assists (644), second in assists per game (6.0), sixth in steals (235) and seventh in points per game (19.3). Williams was named the ACC Tournament MVP in 2000 and was named to the ACC All-Tournament Team three straight years.
