LSU Tigers vs. Oklahoma Sooners Official Radio Broadcast on 2 CDs
You win with defense. It's a cliche, but the LSU Tigers proved once again that its also the truth. LSU's defense came up big and delivered the school's first national championship since 1958 with a 21-14 win over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Nokia Sugar Bowl. The Tigers harassed Heisman winner QB Jason White all game long, sacking him five times and scoring on a Marcus Spears interception. All American Chad Lavalais and the rest of the Tiger defense held the nation's most prolific offense to just 154 total yards. The offense came to play as well, with freshman back Justin Vincent running wild for 117 yards to win Sugar Bowl MVP honors and the savvy play of quarterback Matt Mauck leading the way.
Relive the excitement of the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl game with the complete LSU Sports Network radio broadcast on two CDs without commercial interruption. The 'Voice of the Tigers', Jim Hawthorne and former Tiger football great Doug Moreau bring you all the action.
