Arlington, Texas - Nebraska
took a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter, but Oklahoma outscored
the Huskers by 20 points the rest of the way to come away with a 23-20
win in the Big 12 Championship game on Saturday night at Cowboys
Stadium. Four Nebraska turnovers led to 13 Oklahoma points as the
Sooners came back from the 17-point deficit.
Nebraska 454-293 in total yardage, including a 342-148 advantage through
the air. The Huskers outrushed the Sooners 145-112, led by a 91-yard
effort from senior Roy Helu and 90 yards by sophomore Rex Burkhead.
Senior placekicker Alex Henery became Nebraska's all-time scoring leader
in the contest with 396 career points.
