Charlotte, N.C.- As the track and field season winds down and looking towards the Conference USA Outdoor Championships, the Niners host the Charlotte Invitational this weekend's action.  Charlotte welcomes USC Upstate, East Carolina, App State, N.C. A&T and UNC Wilmington.

Anthony Bynum sits in second place in the conference performance list with a 10.46 performance in the men's 100m.  Joann Blakney also sits in second place in the conference in the women's 100m with a time of 11.70.

Bynum and Blakney both sit in third place in the 200m with performances of 20.86 and 23.74 respectively.

Bynum and Chris Tate are in the top ten in the men's 400m.  Bynum is in third place running the event in 46.78.  Tate sits in seventh with a performance of 47.52.  T'Sheila Mungo holds tight to second place with a performance of 53.41.

Taylor Carcella jumped up into the third spot in the women's 800m after competing in the Colonial Relays with a time of 2:14.32.  Maraya Slatter is sitting in ninth after the relays with a time of 2:15.23.  Michael Tamayo sits in seventh in the men's 800m with a performance of 1:52.40 after the Colonial Relays.

Morgan Richards posted the top time at the East Carolina Invitational moving up to third in the conference running the 3000m event in 9:55.76.

Trey McRae is tied for the top spot in the men's high jump clearing 7' 1.5.  Anthony Campbell sits in second place in the men's triple jump with a leap of 50' 0.75.

The first event starts at 2 pm on Friday afternoon with the women's heptahlon followed by the men's decathlon.  The first running event starts with the women's 800m at 7pm.  The majority of the events are scheduled for Saturday starting at noon.
