Irving, Texas- A record 3,213 student-athletes have earned recognition to the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2013-14 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced today. Student-athletes named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.
The Charlotte 49ers featured 194 scholars on the Conference USA's Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2013-14 academic year. Women's Track and Field pulled in the most scholars with 34 members maintaining higher than a 3.0 grade point average. Women's soccer placed 23 members on the team followed by Baseball and Men's Track and Field with 22 members apiece. Football had 20 members and Men's Soccer finished with 16. Men's Basketball and Volleyball each placed 10 members on the list. Men's Tennis and Softball had nine members each, Women's Basketball (8), Women's Tennis and Men's Golf had six members apiece.
Volleyball placed 91 percent of its team on the Honor Roll.
