SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The winter storm hitting the Southeast has forced yet another postponement of a Charlotte sporting event, as the 49ers women’s tennis team will not travel to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Wofford Friday afternoon. It marks the second women’s tennis match this week to be affected by the storm.

The two teams have agreed to postpone the match and are working out details for it to be rescheduled.

Charlotte will look to return to action after the storm when it starts a three-match homestand at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex by playing host to FIU at 11 a.m. Sunday. The contest will be the first of four regular-season meetings with Conference USA foes, three of which will be on the 49ers’ home courts.
