The Charlotte 49ers  (7-5-3. C-USA: 2-3-2) plays Marshall (2-9-6, C-USA: 0-4-3) in their final regular-season home game, Saturday, November 2 at 7 pm at Transamerica Field. Prior to the game the 49ers will honor seniors Klay Davis, Will Mayhew, Anthony Perez, Thomas Allen, Aidan Kirkbride, Tyler Gibson and Chase Johnston who will be playing their final regular-season game at Transamerica Field.

The 49ers senior class has helped the 49ers win 51 games, reach the 2011 College Cup Championship game, make two NCAA Tournament trips and capture two Atlantic 10 regular-season titles.

Since 2005, the 49ers are 7-0-1 in their final regular-season home game. Last season, the 49ers defeated George Washington, 2-1, in their final regular-season home game, November 3, 2012.

Kyle Parker, who earned numerous national team of the week honor as well as C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors this week, leads the team in goals with eight after scoring two goals in each of the 49ers wins over Clemson and Florida Atlantic. Giuseppe Gentile is second on the team with six goals. Aidan Kirkbride and Luke Waechter are tied for third on the team with three goals apiece. Mayhew and David Mayer are tied for the team-lead with four assists. Gentile, Waechter and Parker are tied for second on the team with three assists apiece. Gibson and Brandt Bronico have each tallied two assists. Gibson has scored a goal in two straight games for the 49ers.

The 49ers defense led by goalkeeper Klay Davis and defenders Waechter, Mayer, Allen, Perez, Nick Barnhorst and Biko Bradnock-Brennan have recorded seven shutouts this season.

Saturday’s game against Marshall will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Admission to the game is $5 for adults and youth (17-and-under) is $2. All Charlotte 49ers students are admitted free with a valid student ID.
