WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The 49ers completed their play at Wake Forest Invitational.

In A1 singles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Jack Williams defeated Davidson’s Ricky Saad, 6-3, 4-6, 7-5.

In A2 singles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Forrest Edwards was leading Stetson’s Simon Julian, 6-1, when Julian retired.

In B1 singles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Alex Calott defeated Iowa’s Dom Patrick, 6-2, 6-7 (4), 6-4, in the semifinals. Then, he lost to Duke’s TJ Para, 6-7 (1), 6-1, 10-7, in the Finals.

In C1 singles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Paul Cisti defeated Liberty’s Stan Vaughn, 6-3, 1-6, 7-5.

In C2 singles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Carl Solik lost to East Carolina’s Ross Nigro, 6-0, 6-2.

In D1 singles, Charlotte’s Alex Weber lost to Davidson’s Evan Watkins, 6-2, 6-4.

In A doubles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Williams and Edwards defeated Stetson’s Espe and Julien, 8-7 (2). Then, they lost to Wake Forest’s Ho and Bloom, 8-3.

In B doubles, Charlotte’s Jordi Massalle Ferrer and Weber lost to UNC Greensboro’s Phillips and Smith, 8-4, in the semifinals.

In C doubles consolation bracket, Charlotte’s Francis Pare and Paul Cisti were trailing Stetson’s Antopika and Kapukiran, 6-2, when they retired.

In D boules, Charlotte’s Calott and Solik defeated Elon’s Sablik and Gaeslen, 8-4, in the semifinals. Calott and Solik lost to East Carolina’s Morris and Holvoet, 8-6, in the finals.

Charlotte concludes their fall tournament season in the ITA Regionals in Cary, North Carolina, October 17-21.
