Following two weeks on the road, the Charlotte 49ers return to action once again on McColl-Richardson Field at Jerry Richardson Stadium to take on the #24/25 Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs in their fourth home game of the season on Saturday, October 5, Military Appreciation Day. Game time is 12 p.m.

Seating for season ticket holders is reserved based upon the section, row, and seat printed on the ticket. Student seating is general admission. Parking lots will open at 8 a.m. for tailgating. Gates to Jerry Richardson Stadium will open at 10:30 a.m.

 Schedule of Events

4:15 a.m. 50 to 50 Game Ball Relay

Army and Air Force ROTC members at Gardner-Webb and UNC Charlotte have partnered to run a relay race with the game ball from the 50 yard line at Gardner-Webb's football field to the 50 yard line of Charlotte's Jerry Richardson Field and deliver it to the officials prior to the game.

8:00 a.m. Parking Lots Open

Parking lots will open and tailgating may begin starting at 8 a.m. Entrance to and exit from campus is determined based upon the lot assigned to each fan. View this parking map for more information.

9:49 a.m. Niner Walk

Follow the sounds of the 49ers Drum Line and the spirit of Norm, the Charlotte Cheerleaders and Gold Dusters to the corner of Craver Road and Cameron Boulevard (below the Student Union) where they will draw Niner Nation to welcome the 49ers football team when they arrive on campus at 9:49 a.m. to make their walk to the Judy Rose Football Center.

10:30 a.m. Gates Open/Fan Activities

Gates to the Charlotte 49ers Football Stadium will open. Inside will be activities including inflatables, photo opportunities with Focus Fan Photos, and more!

11:50 a.m. National Anthem

Singing the National Anthem will be UNC Charlotte student Claire Tamayo. Colors will be presented by the UNC Charlotte Army and Air Force ROTC.

12 p.m.

The parking lots will open at 8 a.m.  All fans entering campus will need to park in designated parking areas via the following options:

- FSL/non-FSL season ticket holder parking permit will be distributed as part of the season ticket mailer (if parking was purchased).  Each permit will identify specific lot and required entry point of campus.

- Single game permits may be purchased in advance online to park in either the West and Union Decks for $15.  Fans wishing to pay cash on game day must enter the main University entrance from Highway 49 and proceed to the Cone Parking Deck. Cost of parking on game day is $20.

- Faculty and Staff with a current parking permit displayed on their vehicle may park in the East Deck.

- Students may park in Lots 5, 5A and 6. During the ticket claim process students may click here to get a parking permit for one of the student lots. Overflow parking will be in the East Deck with a residential or communter parking pass.

 Ticket Information

A limited number of single game tickets are now available for purchase on line for the final three home games.

Want to be added to our ticket information distribution list?  Simply click ADD MY EMAIL to complete a short questionnaire.  When updated ticket information becomes available, you will be notified via email.

Admission for UNC Charlotte students is FREE. Students must visit to request, claim, and print their ticket. Students are able to request tickets for this game beginning Sunday, September 8 at 8am. The claim period begins Tuesday, September 10 at 9am. The student ticket allotment is 7,500. Upon exceeding 7,500 tickets requested a lottery will be activated.



All Charlotte 49ers home football games will be televised on WCCB-Charlotte and can be heard over the airwaves on ESPN 730AM. For fans outside of the Charlotte region home games will be streamed live on Live audio can be accessed here.

WCCB: Calling the game will be Ryan Rose (play-by-play), Kenny Moore (analyst), Brandon Davidow (sideline) and Kelli Bartik and Jon Wilson (features).

ESPN 730AM: Matt Swierad (play-by-play), Kevin Donnalley (color commentary), and Bobby Rosinski (sideline). A pregame show for home games will be broadcast with Lanny Ford and Mario Washington.
