Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte 49ers men’s tennis program will showcase their 2013-14 team and the beautiful Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex, this weekend when they host the 49ers Invitational, September 27-29.
"We are excited for our first home match play of the 2013-2014 school year,” Charlotte coach Billy Boykin said. “We've been working hard in practice and are eager to compete this weekend.”
Charlotte began their Fall tournament schedule two weeks at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships, September 13-16. Forrest Edwards and Alex Calott advanced to the semifinals of their respective brackets at the Southern Intercollegiates. Jordi Massalle Ferrer advanced to the Round of 16 of his bracket.
Joining the 49ers in the four-team tournament are Campbell, Gardner-Webb and Richmond.
The Invitational will consist of eight singles flights and four doubles flights. The Invitational will begin on Friday, September 27 at 12:30 pm. Play will begin at 9 am on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29.
