Sean Muldoon is in his third season as a member of the 49ers strength and conditioning staff. Specifically, he serves as the strength and conditioning coach for the men’s soccer, women’s tennis, and both cross country programs.

From 2012 to 2013, Muldoon completed his Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning at the University of Miami. During this time, he was the Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach and then later promoted to Interim Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the men’s basketball and women’s soccer programs. The 2012-13 basketball season resulted in an ACC Championship, a Sweet Sixteen finish in the NCAA Tournament, and a national ranking peaking at No. 2 in the country. In addition, Sean assisted with the women’s basketball and women’s swimming programs.

Before arriving at Miami, Muldoon worked for two years as a Personal Trainer out of one of New York City’s most well established and high-end private training gyms in Mid-Town Manhattan.

In 2009, he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois. While at Illinois, he was a scholarship athlete on the men’s track and field team, specializing in the 400m run.

Additionally, Muldoon holds certifications from the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), the ACSM as a Health/Fitness Specialist (H/FS), and the NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).

He lives in Charlotte with his fiancé, Brooke, and spends his free time working on his allergen-friendly snck bar business called bruks bars.
