Curtis Canty joined Charlotte's Compliance Office as staff in time for the start of the 2014-15 academic year. He previously spent time in the compliance office at Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte as the staff intern. His responsibilities included processing initial eligibility, maintaining student-athlete database and compliance education. He also assisted with ticketing and game day operations for football, basketball and volleyball.
Originally from Winston-Salem, he is pursuing an M.A. in Sports Management at nearby Wingate University. He graduate from Greensboro College with a B.S. in Business Administration & Economics.
Canty spends some of his free time as a high school basketball and men's lacrosse official.
He and his wife Tiffani have a son, Joshua, and the family resides in Charlotte.
