Conference History: This will be MT’s first year in Conference USA. It was previously a member of the Sun Belt Conference since 2000.

Athletic Highlights: MT has won 2 national champions: men’s golf ( 1965) and men’s tennis doubles (2007). Volleyball made six straight NCAA appearances from 2006-11 with four conference championships during that time. The track program has 43 conference titles, 18 NCAA top 25 finishes, 90+ All- Americans. Women’s basketball has been to the NCAA Tournament in eight of the last nine seasons and produced three WNBA draft picks during that time.

Noteworthy Accomplishments: Middle Tennessee had the first University Honors College at any public university in Tennessee. The school has one of the top aerospace departments with 25 planes and one of the largest Air Traffic College Training Initiatives in the country. The university has been busy expanding its campus with a recently-completed $65 million dollar student union as well as a $147 million science building.
