CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Freshman Anthony Bynum ran a qualifying time of 21.06 in the 200m dash and will advance to Saturday’s quarterfinal at the NCAA East Preliminary Championship on the campus of N.C. A&T State University.
Sophomore T'Sheila Mungo finished 14th in the 400m semifinals. Mungo clocked a time of 53.18 and was two spots away from qualifying to the next round.
Senior Jake Deaton finished 21st in the shot put with a toss of 56’11.50. Deaton will represent Charlotte at the NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships after qualifying in the discus throw on Thursday.
The NCAA East Preliminary Championship will conclude on Saturday, May 25.
