CHARLOTTE, NC - This season the Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship Saturday will be kicked off with a FREE Youth Baseball Clinic hosted by the Atlantic 10 Conference and Charlotte 49ers at the D.L. Phillips Softball Complex. Youth grades kindergarten through eighth grade may participate in the event scheduled for Saturday, May 25 at 10:30 am
Registration is now available to the general public by clicking here to register. Advanced registration is required and participation in the clinic is limited to the first 100 registrants. Registration will close on Friday, May 24 at 5 pm. All participants will receive an Atlantic 10 Conference drawstring backpack and FREE admission to the Championship game which is slated for Noon on that same day at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium.
The clinic will be headed up by former 49ers catcher and current Pfeiffer assistant baseball coach Ross Steedley. He will be joined by Charlotte alumni Cory Tilton, Andrew Smith, and Aaron Bray.
The 2013 Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship is being held May 22-25, hosted by the Charlotte 49ers at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium. The 49ers have earned the second seed in the Championship and will begin play on Wednesday, May 22 at 1:30 pm against the seventh seeded Richmond Spiders.
Tickets for all four days of the Championship are available for $36 in the reserved seating area and $24 in general admission seating. Single day tickets may also be purchased for $12 (reserved), $8 (general admission), or $2 (groups of 10 or more - must be purchased in advance). Tickets may be purchased on game day at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium one hour prior to the start of the first game each day (excluding group tickets). Admission for A-10 students is FREE with a valid member institution University ID.
