Charlotte, NC – Charlotte 49ers head coach Alan Major announced that sophomore guard E. Victor Nickerson and freshman forward Darion Clark are transferring.

“We want to thank Vic and Darion for their contributions to our program,” Major said. “We wish them well in their future endeavors.”

Clark averaged 6.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this past season. He saw action in 32 games with 18 starts. He recorded seven double-figure scoring games including a season-high 17 points against Dayton. He grabbed 11 rebounds against Charleston Southern.

Nickerson averaged 4.4 points in his two seasons at Charlotte. He saw action in 60 games with 19 starts. This past season, he recorded six double-figure scoring games including a career-high 18 points at St. Bonaventure. He scored 14 points in the 49ers NIT game at Providence.

Nickerson scored 265 points and grabbed 141 rebounds in two seasons with the 49ers.
