Charlotte, N.C. -  The 49ers men's basketball programs held their annual Bojangle’s Kids Clinic on Saturday, May 4 in the Charles Heyward Memorial Practice facility.  The clinic featured boys and girls from the Charlotte Metropolitan area ranging from four to twelve years of age.

The clinic was run by a combination of Men’s Basketball staff and players.  The kids were put through different stations that were run like they would in a regular 49er Basketball practice. Stations included, lay-up technique which featured former 49er player Colby Lewis, and rebound and post play technique which featured current 49er standout Willie Clayton. Other stations included: an agility station, a defensive technique station, and dribbling station.

The kids were also split into two different teams nearing the end of the clinic to participate in a friendly relay race which was oriented around weaving through cones and chairs while dribbling.

At the end of the clinic 49ers Men’s Head Basketball Coach Alan Major spoke with the clinic participants and parents, teaching them about hard work and dedication in collegiate athletics.
