CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte athletics department recognized 49ers student-athletes and seniors at the annual year-end banquet Wednesday evening inside Halton Arena. Each sport and spirit squads group named a MVP in addition to special awards by various sports with the head coach of each program on hand to present the accolades for the 2012-13 academic year.

Spring sports who are still in season, including golf, baseball, softball and outdoor track & field, handed out their 2012 team MVP awards. The spirit groups also presented MVPs and the Athletic Academic Center gave out various honors to teams and individuals.
