Chris Braswell, who scored a season-high 28 points off the bench in the 49ers overtime win at Duquesne, averages 11.6 points per game. Braswell is second on the team in rebounding at 5.4 boards per game. Braswell went over the 1,400 career points mark in the Duquesne game. Pierria Henry, who recorded his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds against Duquesne, averages 9.9 points per game. Henry leads the team in assists with 108 and steals with 81. Henry ranks among the nation's leaders in steals. Willie Clayton averages 8.0 points per game. Clayton leads the team in rebounding at 6.3 boards per game. Clayton leads the Atlantic 10 in field goal percentage at 57.8%. Terrence Williams, who has recorded three straight double-figure scoring games, averages 7.8 points per game. Williams recorded his second double-double of the season with 15 points and 12 rebounds at Duquesne.
Darion Clark averages 6.6 points per game and 4.8 boards per game. Denzel Ingram, who has started 25 of the last 26 games, averages 6.3 points per game. Ingram scored 11 points in the 49ers win at Duquesne. E. Victor Nickerson, who scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds at St. Bonaventure last Saturday, averages 5.8 points per game. Ivan Benkovic has knocked down eight three-point field goals in the last two games. He knocked down five three-point field goals for a career-high 15 points at St. Bonaventure last Saturday. Mike Thorne scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench against Temple, February 24.
Saint Joseph's enter Saturday's game on a two-game winning streak after home wins over Fordham and Rhode Island. Carl Jones leads Saint Joseph's in scoring at 14.3 points per game. Ronald Roberts leads Saint Joseph's in rebounding at 8.5 boards per game.
This game will mark the 10th meeting between Charlotte and Saint Joseph's, who leads the all-time series, 6-3. Saint Joseph's defeated Charlotte, 80-64, in their last meeting which was in the first round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament at Saint Joseph's, March 6, 2012. Braswell led the 49ers with 20 points. Charlotte defeated Saint Joseph's, 57-52, on the road in their last regular-season meeting, January 7, 2012. Henry scored 11 points in that game. Saint Joseph's defeated Charlotte, 71-70, in their last meeting in Halton Arena, March 5, 2011. Braswell recorded a double-double in that game with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Charlotte's last win over Saint Joseph's in Halton Arena was a 95-58 victory, February 24, 2010. Former 49ers stalwart Ian Andersen led the 49ers with 19 points in that game.
