CONWAY, S.C. - The on-going battle with weather continued for the Charlotte women's tennis team, as its scheduled match Wednesday afternoon at Coastal Carolina has been cancelled. High winds in the Conway area of 25 miles per hour with gusts upwards to 37 mph have forced the two teams to nix the contest.

The 49ers have had six matches this spring either cancelled or rescheduled due to various weather issues. Charlotte has endured rain, snow, cold temperatures or high winds.

The Niners, however, own a 6-4 record despite the unstable conditions.

Charlotte will look to resume play in 10 days, March 16, when it welcomes North Carolina Central to the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex for a 1 p.m. first serve. The match is a rescheduled date from the original Jan. 26 meeting.
