The Charlotte 49ers (18-10, A-10: 6-8) play the Duquesne Dukes (8-20, A-10: 1-13) on the road in their final regular-season road game, Wednesday, March 6 at 7 pm.
Chris Braswell, who scored 10 points off the bench against St. Bonaventure, averages 11.0 points per game. Braswell is second on the team in rebounding at 5.4 boards per game. Pierria Henry, who scored 12 points with seven rebounds and six assists at St. Bonaventure, averages 9.6 points per game. Henry leads the team in assists with 103 and steals with 78. Henry ranks among the nation's leaders in steals. Willie Clayton averages 8.0 points per game. Clayton leads the team in rebounding at 6.4 boards per game. Terrence Williams, who has recorded two straight double-figure scoring games off the bench, averages 7.6 points per game.
Darion Clark averages 6.8 points per game. Clark is tied for third on the team in rebounding at 4.9 boards per game. Denzel Ingram, who has started 24 of the last 25 games, averages 6.2 points per game. E. Victor Nickerson, who scored a career-high 18 points and grabbed a career-high nine rebounds at St. Bonaventure, averages 6.1 points per game. Ivan Benkovic knocked down five three-point field goals for a career-high 15 points at St. Bonaventure. Mike Thorne scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench against Temple, February 24.
Duquesne is led in scoring by Derrick Colter at 13.1 points per game. Sean Johnson averages 11.3 points per game. Andre Marhold leads Duquesne in rebounding at 5.6 boards per game.
This game will mark the 11th meeting between Charlotte and Duquesne. The series is tied at five games apiece. Duquesne has won four straight in the series. Duquesne defeated Charlotte, 88-77, in Halton Arena in their last meeting, February 29, 2012. DeMario Mayfield led the 49ers with 19 points. Braswell scored 17 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Duquesne defeated Charlotte 83-67, in their last meeting in Pittsburgh, January 22, 2011. Braswell scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in that game.
