Denzel Ingram, who has started the 22 of the last 23 games, averages 6.4 points per game. Darion Clark averages 6.3 points per game. Clark is third on the team in rebounding at 5.0 boards per game. E. Victor Nickerson, who has started the last six games, averages 5.7 points per game. Mike Thorne recorded his first career double-figure scoring game with 10 points off the bench against Temple last Sunday. Thorne also grabbed a career-high seven rebounds in the game. Ivan Benkovic recorded his first career double-figure scoring game with 10 points off the bench against Massachusetts, February 2.
Dayton enters the game off a 76-66 road loss at Massachusetts last Saturday. Dayton has three players averaging double-figures led by Kevin Dillard's 14.8 points per game. Devin Oliver leads Dayton in rebounding at 8.0 boards per game.
This game will mark the 12th meeting between Charlotte and Dayton, who leads the all-time series 7-4. Dayton defeated Charlotte, 75-65, in their last meeting which came at Dayton, February 15, 2012. Braswell led the 49ers with 27 points in that game. Dayton defeated Charlotte, 69-51, in their last meeting in Halton Arena, February 16, 2011. Former Niner Jamar Briscoe led three 49ers in double-figures with 14 points in that game. Chris Braswell scored 12 points in that game. The 49ers last win over Dayton came in Halton Arena when the 49ers posted a 79-66 win, February 8, 2009. Former Niner DiJuan Harris recorded 13 points and 12 assists. Former Niner Lamont Mack led the 49ers with 20 points in that game.
