Charlotte 49ers sophomore Paul Cisti was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week for his performance in the 49ers wins over Mercer and College of Charleston last week. Cisti is the sixth different Niner to earn Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors in the program's history. He is the first to be named A-10 Player of the Week since Charles Martin-Lecamp in 2011.

Last week, Cisti picked up three wins, including a singles victory against Mercer's Arsav Mohanty in straight sets (6-0, 6-4) from the No. 3 singles spot and a doubles win with Alex Calott over Mercer's No. 1 pair, Anderson Scarpa and Joao Pagan, 8-4 last Friday. The sophomore then lost his first set against College of Charleston's Charlie Ghriskey, but rallied back to win (1-6, 6-2, 6-2) to help clinch the victory for the 49ers over Charleston last Sunday.

Cisti has recorded 10 singles wins and nine doubles wins this season.

Cisti and the rest of the 49ers men's tennis team returns to action when they play UNC Greensboro at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex, Saturday, February 16 at 12 pm.
