CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte women's basketball program, in its 38th season in 2012-13, will welcome back 20 former players, coaches, trainers and managers for the annual Alumni Day Sunday in conjunction with Homecoming weekend. The former 49ers will be on-hand as the current team faces Duquesne at 2 p.m. inside Halton Arena.

The weekend festivities for the group include a pregame luncheon and then a halftime recognition on the court in additional to other activities planned around the University's Homecoming celebration.

Seventeen of the 20 returners are former players, ranging from Connie Remley Morris, who suited up for the green and white from 1984-86 to recent 2012 players Katie Meador and Epiphany Woodson. One former coach, the program's first, Judy Rose, who is now director of athletics, along with a former manager and athletic trainer will also be in attendance.

Sunday's contest with the unbeaten Dukes can be heard live on ESPN 730 AM, the flagship station for Charlotte 49ers athletics, throughout the region with Bobby Rosinski and Lanny Ford handling the broadcast.
