The Charlotte 49ers men's tennis team (2-1) plays ACC foes Wake Forest and Duke on the road this weekend, January 19-20. First, the 49ers play 66th -ranked Wake Forest on the road, Saturday, January 19 at 10 am. Then, the 49ers play 5th -ranked Duke on the road, Sunday, January 20 at 1 pm.

"We are looking forward to our upcoming matches this weekend with Wake Forest and Duke," Charlotte coach Billy Boykin said. "This set of matches will be a tough early season test for our squad and will give us a good idea of where we are physically and mentally.  Our guys are excited."

Last weekend, Forrest Edwards posted a number three singles at #39 South Carolina. Edwards enters this weekend with eight singles wins.

Jordi Massalle Ferrer leads the 49ers with 12 singles wins. While, Jack Williams has won 11 singles matches.

Alex Calott has won eight singles matches. Paul Cisti has seven singles wins this season so far.

The doubles team of Massalle Ferrer and Alex Weber were a perfect 5-0 in the fall. While, the doubles team of Williams and Forrest Edwards went 5-2 in the fall.

After this weekend, the 49ers will play five straight dual matches at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex beginning with a match against Tennessee Tech, Saturday, January 26.
