CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A "BLACKOUT" has been declared for the Charlotte 49ers men’s basketball uptown showdown with ACC foe Florida State at Time Warner Cable Arena on Saturday, December 22. Charlotte 49ers fans are encouraged to wear black for this nationally televised (CBS Sports Network) battle slated for a 2:00 pm tip.
The official "BLACKOUT" T-shirt is available now for only $10 at Barnes and Noble at UNC Charlotte and the Barnes and Noble kiosk at Halton Arena on game day.
Charlotte 49ers basketball fans will be treated to a thrilling halftime show to add to this exciting NCAA Basketball game as Hardee’s presents David Chapman, known as Peter Rabbit, who has mastered the art of a drum style playing of five gallon buckets. This phenomenal talent has performed with the Neville Brothers/Summer Stage, numerous NBA halftimes & quarter breaks, and was part of the original Broadway and first National touring company of the Five Tony Award-winning smash hit "Bring in 'da Noise Bring in 'da Funk".
Single game tickets are $25. Tickets may also be purchased as part of the 49ers Partial Season Ticket Flex Plan - allowing fans to attend five of the remaining Charlotte games, including the match-up with Florida State.
