The Charlotte 49ers (9-0), who are off to the best start in school history, face ACC foe Miami (5-1) on the road, Friday, December 14 at 7 pm in a game that will be broadcast on several outlets nationwide, including ESPN3 and Fox Sports South and Fox Sports Carolinas.
Charlotte 49ers fans from around the country can watch the game on the following stations: Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports South, SUN, CNS-MA+, NESN, Fox Sports Arizona, Fox Sports San Diego, Prime, ESPN3, Fox Sports Tennessee.
Chris Braswell leads the 49ers in scoring at 14.3 points per game. Braswell has recorded six double-figure scoring games off the bench this season. Braswell, who leads the team in rebounding at seven boards per game, recorded his second double-figure rebounds game of the season with 12 boards against Central Michigan.
DeMario Mayfield, who scored a team-high 15 points off the bench against Central Michigan, is second on the team in scoring at 10 points per game. He has recorded five double-figure scoring games off the bench this season.
Terrence Williams is third on the team in scoring at 9.7 points per game. Williams, who has started all nine games this season, has recorded four double-figure scoring games this season.
Willie Clayton, who has recorded three straight double-figure scoring games, is fourth on the team in scoring at 8.2 points per game. Clayton is second on the team in rebounding at 6.6 boards per game.
Pierria Henry is fifth on the team in scoring at 7.7 points per game. He leads the team in assists with 37 and steals with 24.
Denzel Ingram, who has started the last six games, is sixth on the team in scoring at 7.2 points per game. Ingram leads the team with 12 three-point field goals made.
Darion Clark is seventh on the team in scoring at 7.1 points per game. Clark has scored in double-figures in two of Charlotte's last four games.
JT Thompson has given the 49ers quality minutes off the bench this season. He averages 4.9 points per game. E. Victor Nickerson, who scored five points off the bench against Central Michigan, averages 4.5 points per game.
Ivan Benkovic has knocked down at least one three point field goal in five of the last six games.
This game will mark the eighth meeting between Charlotte and Miami. The 49ers hold a 4-3 series lead. Charlotte lost to Miami, 76-61, at home in their last meeting, December 22, 2011. Chris Braswell led the 49ers with 12 points and seven rebounds in that game. Miami has won two of the three previous meetings between the two teams in Miami. Charlotte lost at Miami, 64-56, in their last meeting at Miami, December 22, 2001. The 49ers defeated Miami on the road, 75-65, for their only victory at Miami, December 7, 1999.
