CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's basketball team returns to action and looks to extend its unbeaten start to the season when it plays host to the Big 12's Kansas State Wildcats at 7 p.m. Saturday inside Halton Arena. It will mark the first meeting between the two programs and the second foe from the conference in three games for the Niners.

Charlotte enters the matchup with a 3-0 record after picking up a 79-60 home triumph over FGCU last Saturday. The win kept the 49ers undefeated through the first three games in back-to-back seasons, only the second time in school history it has been done. The only other instance was in 1993-94 and 1994-95.

Along the way, senior Jennifer Hailey posted her third-straight double-double and 23rd of her career, finishing with 20 points to hit the 1,000-point milestone exactly. She became the 20th member of the exclusive club in school history.

Hailey was one of four 49ers starters to reach double-figure points as the balanced offensive attack continued. Fellow senior Amanda Dowe tops the squad with a 15.0 points per game average heading into Saturday's contest with senior Jai Forney and junior Ny Hammonds also among the quartet.

Hammonds has handed out eight assists in each of the three games this season, matching her career high which she had set just once before the campaign started. Her 24 assists are twice as many as her next closest teammate, Forney.

Kansas State also owns a 3-0 ledger entering Saturday's meeting, having knocked off Tennessee State Tuesday night in its last game. The Wildcats, under the direction of 17th-year head coach Deb Patterson, opened the campaign with back-to-back home victories against Idaho State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff before picking up the win in Nashville earlier this week.

Brittany Chambers tops the team with averages of 17.0 points and 8.0 rebounds. She is joined in double-figure scoring by Haley Texada's 12.7 per game mark.

Saturday's game will serve as Military Appreciation Night. All fans are encouraged to purchase a 49ers camo shirt with $6 of the cost donated to support military personnel. Red, white and blue ribbons will be distributed while supplies last.

Josh Feldman will handle the play-by-play duties for the live video broadcast on Live stats will also be available and updates can also be found throughout the contest on Twitter @49erGameDay.
