Charlotte, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers (2-0) conclude their three-game season opening home stand when they face Lamar (0-2) in Halton Arena, Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 pm. The game is part of a 49ers basketball doubleheader as the 49ers women's basketball team plays Florida Gulf Coast at 5 pm.

The last time the 49ers were in action, Charlotte defeated Charleston Southern, 66-53, in a game that was broadcast nationally on the NBC Sports Network this past Tuesday. Chris Braswell led the 49ers with 21 points and 12 rebounds for his 23rd career double-double. Pierria Henry scored 13 points. Willie Clayton scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds in the game.

This game will mark the third meeting between Charlotte and Lamar. The series is tied at one game apiece. Charlotte defeated Lamar, 91-86, in Las Cruces, New Mexico in their first meeting, December 12, 1975. Lamar defeated Charlotte at home, 72-54, in their last meeting, November 19, 2011. Former 49ers Derrio Green led the 49ers with 19 points in that game.
