Charlotte, NC- The nationally-ranked Charlotte 49ers men's soccer team (13-2-3, A-10: 7-1-1) are the top seed in this week's Atlantic  10 Tournament which will be played at Charlotte's Transamerica Field, November 8-11. The 49ers, who just captured their second A-10 regular-season title in the last three years, will play eighth-seed Duquesne (7-11-1, A-10: 4-4-1) in the quarterfinals, Thursday, November 8th at 8 pm.

The 49ers enter the Atlantic 10 Tournament with six straight wins. The 49ers have outscored their opponents 17-2 during that stretch. The 49ers defense has recorded four shutouts and only allowed two penalty kick goals over their last six games.

Joining Charlotte and Duquesne in the eight-team Atlantic 10 Tournament is second-seed Saint Louis (13-4, A-10: 7-2), third-seed Xavier (13-1-4, A-10: 6-1-2), fourth-seed VCU (10-2-5, A-10: 6-1-2), fifth-seed Temple (10-5-3/A-10: 6-1-2), sixth-seed Dayton (11-5-1, A-10: 5-3-1) and seventh-seed La Salle (10-6-3, A-10: 4-4-1).

Saint Louis and La Salle will play in the first quarterfinal game on Thursday, November 8 at 11 am. Then, Xavier and Dayton will play second quarterfinal game at 2 pm. The third quarterfinal game pits VCU against Temple at 5 pm. The 49ers will play Duquesne in the final quarterfinal game at 8 pm.

The winners of the Saint Louis/La Salle and Xavier/Dayton games will play each other in the first semifinal game, Friday, November 9 at 5 pm. Then, the winners of the VCU/Temple and Charlotte/Duquesne game will play in the second semifinal game, Friday, November 9 at 7:30 pm.

The A-10 Championship game will be Sunday, November 11 at 4 pm. The Championship game will be broadcast live nationally on the CBS Sports Network.

Admission to each day of the Tournament is $6 for adults and $4 for youth (18 and under). A three-day pass for the Tournament for an adult is $15. Admission is free for any student from an Atlantic 10 institution with a valid student ID.
