Charlotte volleyball finished with a split of the Philadelphia road trip Saturday night in a 3-0 loss (25-14, 25-18, 25-19) loss to Temple at McGonigle Hall in Atlantic 10 Conference volleyball action. The 49ers are now 10-13 overall, 2-9 in the A-10. The Owls improve to 16-9, 6-5 in league play.

The Owls opened up a 6-3 lead in the first, expanding that to 15-6 to take control of the match early on. Bianca Rouse (Columbia. S.C. / Keenan HS) led Charlotte with a pair of kills in the opening set.

The second set featured five ties, but the Owls took a 13-11 lead and never lost it from that point in the seven-point set-two result.

A pair of Amanda Videmsek (Highland Heights, Ohio / Beaumont School) kills started the third set, but a 4-0 run by Temple, gave the Owls an early lead until the Niners forced a six-all tie.  Ties were forced at 10 and 11, but the Owls ran up a 6-1 run at that point and kept the 49ers at bay for the match victory.

Rouse finished with the team-high total of 10 kills. Senior libero Jenna Litoborski (Lemont, Ill) ties for the match high with 15 digs. Freshman setter Britney Leigh Held (Brookfield, Wis. / Brookfield Central HS) had her second career double-double, both this weekend, with 23 assists and 10 digs.
