Charlotte's Braeden Cryderman was selected as the Atlantic 10 Conference Golf Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. Cryderman was recognized for tournament play during the week of Oct. 10-16.

Playing in his first action of the 2012 fall season, the Huntsville, Ontario native posted career-best rounds and tournament scores, finishing in a tie for third overall at the Rod Myers Invitational, hosted by Duke University over the weekend. Cryderman led all players with 12 birdies through the first two rounds, and tied for the most total birdies for the weekend with 15. With a 1-over par 73 in Sunday's final round, he landed at four-under for the tournament, and was one of just 12 players in the tournament field to post a sub-par round twice in the weekend. He was tied for the second-lowest score on par-four holes (-1) and was tied for fourth on par three holes (also at -1). His top-five finish was the second for a Charlotte golfer in a tournament this season.

The 49ers finished third overall, the third tournament in a row finishing fourth or higher.

Charlotte's final remaining fall tournament will take place at the end of the month on the farthest scheduled trip of the year. The Niners will take on a field of teams in the Pacific Invitational at Brookside Country Club in Stockton, Calif. from October 29-31.
