The Charlotte 49ers are the proud owners of a sparkling new 46,150 square-foot football field house and two practice fields.  The keys to Halton Field House were, in effect, turned over to the 49ers when Kenny Hunt of the North Carolina State Construction Office approved beneficial occupancy of Halton Field House.

Halton Field House and the practice fields are the first portion of the 15,300 seat on-campus stadium complex to be completed.

The Football Stadium Complex will include the stadium, field house, practice fields.  A 6,636 square-foot press box, complete with media seating, a university box and television and radio booths will adorn the west sideline at the concourse level with concessions and auxiliary buildings positioned throughout the concourse level.

The field house includes coaches offices and meeting rooms, locker rooms and weight and training rooms as well as a 1,920 square-foot Academic Center, a 2,757 square-foot tiered classroom and a 5,947 square-foot Hospitality Deck.

Local architect Jenkins • Peer Architects and national design firm DLR Group created the stadium design while the Construction Manager is Rodgers PCL Russell.
