Charlotte 49ers men's basketball signees Shawn Lester (Mooresville, N.C.) and Denzel Ingram (Chapel Hill, N.C.) excelled in Monday's North Carolina Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game at the Greensboro Coliseum. 

Lester was the named the game's MVP after a solid 20-point, eight-assist, eight-rebound performance.  He was the West's leading scorer en route to a 107-97 victory and had a dunk and three-pointer on back-to-back possesions to break open a two-point game.

Ingram had a game-high 23 points for the East team, hitting 5-of-9 three-point attempts.

The duo are part of a class of six newcomers for the 49ers that includes Virginia Tech transfer JT Thompson and incoming freshmen Darion Clark, Willie Clayton and Ivan Benkovic.
