Charlotte, NC - Former 49ers women's basketball standout Epiphany Woodson has signed a contract to play professionally in Europe. Woodson, who earned A-10 Sixth Player of the Year honors this past season, will play for Forssan Alku in Forssan, Finland.

Woodson, who is currently working on a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies at Charlotte, will leave for Finland in late August. Torpan Pojat's season begins in early October.

This past season, Woodson played an integral role in helping the 49ers earn their tenth straight postseason tournament berth with bid to WNIT. In 2011, she helped the 49ers win a school-record 27 games and reach the WNIT Final Four.

Last season, Woodson was named Atlantic 10 Sixth Player of the Year. She was also voted third-team All-Atlantic 10 as well as being named to the A-10 All-Academic team.

She finished the season second on the team and 13th in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 12.3 points per game. Woodson went over the 1,000th point mark in her career against St. Bonaventure, January 21. She finished her career with 1,132 career points. This past season, she recorded 20 double-figure scoring games including scoring a career-high 32 points off the bench at Saint Louis, February 22. She finished her career at Charlotte with 43 double-figure scoring games.
