Chris Anderson (High Point, N.C./Westchester Country Day School) was a two-time individual champion at the NCISAA Division 1 & 2 Outdoor Track & Field State Championships, helping his squad take home the team title. Anderson won the 1,600m and anchored the winning 4x800m relay, in addition to finishing second in the 3,200m and fourth in the 800m.
Morgan Richards (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory HS) was a two-time medalist at her state meet, the PIAA State Track & Field Championships. After winning both the 1,600m and 3,200m at the PIAA state qualifying meet last week, she went on to finish third in both events at the championship. Earning her 10th and 11th state medals to close out a tremendous high school career, Richards also saw her team capture the PIAA team title at the championship.
Nick Rotz (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg HS) led off his team's 4x800m relay with a 1:54.3 split at the PIAA State Track & Field Championships. Finishing in school record time (7:43.84), Rotz's relay squad took second overall, just .03 behind the first place finishers. Rotz also finished fifth in the 1,600m with a personal best time of 4:18.81, earning the first individual state medal of his career.
Jason Creasy (Pfafftown, N.C./Ronald Reagan HS) won a gold medal as a member of the 4x800m relay at the NCHSAA 4A State Track & Field Championships last week. Creasy's squad ran a school record best of 7:50.6 to secure the victory.
Eli Clevenger (Weaverville, N.C./North Buncombe HS) was another medalist, finishing third overall in the 3,200m at the NCHSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
Nicole Pappalardo (Waxhaw, N.C., Marvin Ridge HS) was a member of the first place 4x800m relay team at the NCHSAA 3A State Track & Field Championships.
Lauren Pollard (Benson, N.C./West Johnston HS) ran a personal best in the 1,600m to finish 11th at the NCHSAA 4A State Track & Field Championships. She also helped the 4x800m relay to an eighth place finish and added a 14th place effort in the 3,200m.
Nate Tallada (Saegertown, Pa./Saegertown HS) finished 13th overall in the 3,200m at the PIAA State Track & Field Championships, a week after winning the event at his state qualifier.
Caragh MacDermott (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg HS) finished seventh overall in the 3,200m in a season best time at the Maryland State Track & Field Championships.
Tiffany Lang (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills HS) was a member of the 4x800m relay that finished fifth overall at the Maryland State Track & Field Championships.
John Felts (Lewisberry, Pa./Red Land HS) ended his high school career on a high note last week as well, running a personal best time of 9:35.65 in the 3,200m at his state qualifier. He missed qualifying for the state meet by just one spot.
