Stadium Renditions

The Charlotte 49ers broke ground on the 15,314 seat Jerry Richardson stadium and McColl-Richardson Field on April 28, 2011.

The 15,314 seat stadium, being built so that it is expandable to 40,000 seats, will house the 49ers football program, which is set to take the field for the first time in the inaugural 2013 season on August 31, 2013 against the Campbell Fighting Camels.

The Football Stadium Complex will include the 15,314 seat Jerry Richardson Stadium, a field house, and two practice fields.  The stadium press box will be complete with media seating, a university box and television and radio booths on the west sideline at the concourse level.  The field house includes coaches offices and meeting rooms, locker rooms and weight and training rooms as well as an Academic Center, tiered classroom and Hospitality Deck. Upon entering the stadium through one of the facility's five entrances, fans will have the ability to circle around the entire stadium on the concourse level through connecting bridges and a connector walk on the Field House.
