CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte 49ers women's cross country team is climbing the USTFCCCA regional polls. The Niners are currently ranked ninth in the Southeast Region, up four spots from their previous 13th place ranking.

The women are led by senior Amanda Goetschius, who has paced the 49ers in all four meets she has competed in this season. Goetschius led the Charlotte women to a third place team finish at the Atlantic 10 Championship on Saturday with a third place overall finish of her own. The Niners, who tallied 92 points, finished just eight points shy of runner-up Dayton and 23 points from this year's women's team champion, La Salle.

The 49ers will compete in the NCAA South Regional in Louisville, KY next Saturday, November 12th. The meet, the last of the season before the NCAA Championship on Nov. 21st, is set to begin at 11 a.m.
