At Charlotte - 2013: Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player of the Year, First-Team All-Conference, NCCSIA All-State First Team... Player of the Week, 3/18 & 5/13... He finished as the A-10 doubles leader, and tied for 14th nationally at the end of the regular season with 22 doubles... Other conference rankings... third in batting average (.351) and on-base percentage (.439), second in runs scored (46), fourth in hits (79), tied for seventh in RBI (40), tied for fourth in total bases (109) and was 10th in walks (30)... One of two players to start and play all 60 games in the year... played in left field (44 games) and third base (four games) for the first time in career, in addition to first base (14 games)... 2012: Played in 45 games, starting 33 contests, splitting time between first (32 games), second (five) and the designated hitter spot (five) in the lineup... Collected all three career triples this season and belted nine doubles, including a career-high two in game two of a doubleheader at Missouri, on 3/10... Had two hits in a game four times, including three games in a row in both games of the Missouri doubleheader and the next game, a Tuesday home contest against USC Upstate on 3/13... Season-long hit streak reached 11 games, third-longest on the team all season... Had one hit in those 11 games, taking average from .229 to .250 into early April... Did not go hitless in more than three appearances in a row... Recorded two RBI three times during the season, scoring two runs in a game five times... 2011:Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week, 3/7. Appeared in 30 games, with 24 starts, leading the freshman class in appearances... Finished second on team with three home runs... Had career-high three hits in home win over Xavier on 4/2... Hit the team's third home run of the season on 3/5 against UNC Asheville, hitting his second of the season on 3/27 against Rhode Island to lead the team for a week with two homers... Hit his and the team's final homer of the season in the team's last game, against No. 19 Arkansas in the Temple, Ariz. Regional... It was Charlotte's 13th postseason home run... Second on team in starts as the designated hitter (17) and at first base (10)... One of six players to log an RBI as a pinch hitter... Batted .500 (4-for-8) in fourth and fifth innings... Dean's List (fall), Athletic Director's List (spring).
Prep - Northwest Cabarrus High turned in the second-best best season in school history, winning the Conference and District Titles... Finished 2010 with a .480 batting average for the Trojans, and earned three baseball and two basketball letters... Missed most of junior season with an injury, but came back in 2010 to earn All-Conference and a spot on the East vs. West All-Star Game... Named the Charlotte Observer Player of the Year... Was an A-B Honor Roll Student and a member of the Beta Club.
Personal - Parents are Jody and Jeff Seager... Has two siblings, Kyle and Corey... Older brother Kyle played second base at North Carolina and was drafted in the third round of the 2009 draft by Seattle and is playing in that organization currently... Younger brother Corey played for USA Baseball 16U team that took Gold in the COPABE Pan Am Youth Championships in the fall of 2010 before he committed to South Carolina and was later drafted in the first round (17th pick) by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2012 draft... Major is geography... Born May 15.
