2013: First-Team All-Atlantic 10, NCCSIA All-State Second Team... A-10 Pitcher of the Week 4/15, 4/22 & Co-Pitcher on 5/6 ... Has the third lowest opponent batting average (.223) in program history (min: 100 IP) and eighth most strikeouts per nine innings (9.24) and the tenth-lowest earned run average (3.55)... Won league pitcher of the week in a stretch of three of four weeks, holding George Washington scoreless for 7.1 innings in a 2-1 win on 4/14, striking out 10 at Xavier in eight innings on 4/21 and tossing his first career complete game, a one-hit shutout over Butler on 5/4... Had a breakthrough season, leading Charlotte and tying for the A-10 lead with 77 strikeouts, leading the team and finishing second in the A-10 with a .206 batting average against (fifth-lowest for a season in team history) and finishing second on the team and seventh in the conference with a 2.77 earned run average... He was second on the team and tied for eighth in the league with seven wins, the first of his career... His 47 A-10 only strikeouts were tied for second... His 2.06 ERA in league games only ranked him seventh in the A-10... A .186 batting average against in league games only was fourth among A-10 pitchers... 2012: Appeared in 15 games (team was 4-11 in those games), not allowing an earned run in eight of those appearances... 11 of his appearances were at home, including three starts... Tied the team's season high with eight strikeouts in a home start against Wake Forest, on 4/11 after a season-high 76 pitches... Recorded a strikeout in all but three appearances... Only save of the season came after a 3.1-inning outing at home against Saint Joseph's, holding the Hawks hitless to finish the game, with two strikeouts and a walk in 34 pitches... Never allowed more than three hits in a game all year... Took the loss in his last three appearances of the season, though only charged with two earned runs in final outing... His 36 strikeouts were third-most on the squad... Posted a team-low 1.74 earned run average in five A-10 appearances, with a bullpen-high eight strikeouts... Athletic Director's List (fall).
2011: Appeared in 12 games (team was 7-5 in those contests)... Did not allow an earned run in eight appearances... Earned first career save in longest outing of the season, his second appearance, tossing 3.2 innings in a home win over Missouri on February 27... Set season high of five strikeouts in his third outing of the season in a home win over Tennessee Tech on March 8... Started his career without allowing an earned run in first four-plus appearances, a span of 7.1 innings... Only allowed one earned run in first 10 innings pitched and eight appearances... All four outs recorded in road game at Wake Forest on March 11 were strikeouts... Athletic Director's List (fall).
Prep - Southwest Guilford Cowboys team was 24-5 in 2010, setting a school record for wins... Team won the conference tournament in 2008 and 2010, winning the regular-season title in 2009... Conference Pitcher of the Year, Team MVP in 2010... All-State Selection in 2010 and First-Team All-Area in 2010... Participated in State Games after pair of All-Conference nods in 2009 and 2010... Finished with a 9-2 record and a 1.79 ERA, with 114 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched... Also batted .395 with four homers, 12 doubles and 19 RBI, scoring 33 runs in 2010... Was an A/B Honor Roll student.
