Team was 13-8 in games in which he appeared, with a save or a win in eight of the first 11 wins of the season... Won two games, fifth-most on the team... Seven saves are tied for fifth-most in a single season in Charlotte history... Got a win or a save in nine of Charlotte's 21 wins in 2012... Currently has the tenth-lowest earned run average for a career (2.83) in team history... Currently tied for 16th in team history with 61 career appearances... Eight total career saves are tied for tenth-most in team history for a Charlotte pitcher... Earned Co-Pitcher of the Week after a weekday save for the second home loss of the season for USC Upstate and a win for Charlotte's lone victory in a weekend series at conference foe Xavier on April 1... Tied for the team lead with nine conference appearances out of the bullpen... Dean's List (fall), Athletic Director's List (spring).
2011: Led team with 27 appearances (team was 17-10 in those games)... Appeared in four of team's 11 shutouts (most among relievers)... Pitched twice in a weekend eight times, including the last four regular-season weekens and the conference tournament... Second win of the season came after he entered in a scoreless home contest in the ninth versus Richmond on 5/7... Came in to start the ninth and retired six of seven batters as Charlotte scored only run of the game in bottom of the tenth... Finished six games without recording a save... Right-handed batters hit only .198 against him... Tied career-highs by pitching four innings and striking out five batters at home against Fordham on 4/23... Dean's List (fall, '11 and spring).
2010: Appeared in 13 games (team was 6-7 in games in which he appeared), the first coming on March 13... Led team in left-handed opponents batting average against, lefties to a .115 average (3-for-26)... Led team in batting average against with runners on base, holding opponents to a .171 average (7-for-41) with a runner at any base... Struck out a career-high three batters twice, including his final appearance of the season, his only save of the year as Charlotte defeated Xavier in an elimination game at the Atlantic 10 Baseball Championships... Lasted a career-long four innings in that contest, giving up a career-high five hits... Got his first career win in his only career start on a pitch count, a two-inning effort in a 16-5 win at home against Winthrop on April 14... Never allowed more than one run in any outing... Chancellor's List (Fall), Dean's List (Spring).
At Strongsville: Named school's Senior Athlete of the Year after a 5-1 record, with a 2.32 ERA in nine appearances in 2009... Won four varsity letters for baseball and basketball, and was an All-Conference performer in both sports... Team won three-straight conference titles, and finished 23-4, winning the sectional title and district titles in 2009... Team was ranked at No. 22 in the ESPN/RISE poll at one point... Earned Academic All-Conference Awards for all four seasons.
Personal: Parents are Liz and Tom Hamilton... Father Tom played football at West Virginia and grandfather played lacrosse at Rutgers... Has two brothers, Blaine and Ray... Graduated in May, 2013 with Degree in Finance... Born December 20.
