2011: Atlantic 10 Conference All-Tournament. Named a "Shortstop to Watch" by College Baseball 360.com. One of two players to start and play in all 59 games for Charlotte... Tied for the national lead in sacrifice bunts (22) at the start of the NCAA postseason... Finished third on team with 10 doubles and led team with 176 defensive assists... Had career-high 10 stolen bases, which was fourth on the team... Dropped down a pair of sacrifice bunts for a career-high total in A-10 Tournament against Richmond on 5/28... Registered a pair of suicide squeeze bunts, including the first run of of a 6-0 shutout win at the conference tournament over Richmond on 5/26... Stole career-high two bases at La Salle on 5/13... Third on the team advancing runners (70 times in 130 opportunities).
2010: Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball/Louisville Slugger... 2010 Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team.
Roland returned to a healthy season as the Niners' everyday shortstop in 2010... Played 55 games at short, starting 54 and making one pinch-hit appearance... Finished with a .310 average (one of seven 49ers hitters to finish above .300 for the season) and was one off the team-best pace of 15 doubles... Tied a school record with three doubles in a home win over Marist on March 5 and recorded his first career home run in a home conference win over Temple on May 1... Scored 50 runs and recorded 43 RBI, both fifth-best totals on team for season... Led the team with 124 assists... Recorded three game-winning RBI during the season, including a dramatic RBI fielder's choice in the bottom of the eighth to break a five-all tie at home in an 8-5 win over Massachusetts on April 3.
2009: Started 15 of Charlotte first 16 games as the shortstop before suffering a season-ending injury... Recorded career-bests of three hits and three RBI in Charlotte's 18-3 win at Furman on Mar. 4... Set his career high of three runs scored in 13-5 home win over Presbyterian on Mar. 11... First career triple came in a 7-1 home victory over Oakland on Feb. 26.
