2010: Atlantic 10 Conference Pitcher of the Week, May 3. Tied for second on the team with five wins and pitched the second-most innings on the team (71)... Started 11 games, including one of Charlotte's two shutouts in 2010... Lasted eight scoreless innings, giving up just five hits and a walk to help Charlotte blank Temple at home on May 1... Has started two of Charlotte's three shutouts in the past two seasons... Finished 4-2 in 11 starts (team was 7-4 in those games, including a 7-3 win over Rhode Island in the conference tournament on May 28)... Was 1-0 in four relief appearances, including a 4.1-inning effort where he allowed just one hit and two walks to defeat Austin Peay on Mar. 12... Finished 5-0 in home games, including a 4-0 mark against Atlantic 10 opponents at home... Team was 10-1 in home games in which he appeared (0-4 in road games he started)... 2009: Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, 2/23... Made starts in the first five weeks of the season before heading to the bullpen in April... Allowed just one run and three hits, while striking out a career-high and team-season-best nine in his first collegiate start, a six-inning effort at eventual No. 16 Clemson... The 99-pitch outing was the longest of his career... First career win was a five-inning effort against Belmont Abbey on Mar. 18... His second victory of the season was perhaps his best, tossing 5.2 innings of scoreless work in a start at Winthrop... Allowed just three hits and two walks in that time, as Charlotte shut out the Eagles on their home turf... Earned Charlotte's lone A-10 Tournament win by tossing 4.2 innings against Fordham in a relief role, allowing three hits and an earned run as Charlotte came back from a 5-1 deficit when he entered in the third inning... Team was 7-8 in games in which he appeared, and 3-3 in games that he started... Two of his five wins were against conference opponents... At Weddington HS - Team won Southwestern 4A Tournament played at Robert and Mariam Hayes Stadium, advancing to the third round of state playoffs... Won All-Conference award and Union County Pitcher of the Year honors in 2007 and 2008.
