At Charlotte - Begins her second season as an assistant coach with the 49ers, after a brilliant four-year playing career in the Green and White. She stands second all-time in career strikeouts (622), third in career wins (62) and fourth in starts (102). Hackett finished her career with a 2.26 ERA which is sixth best in program history. During Hackett’s senior campaign she posted career high’s in wins, shutouts, and strikeouts. Hackett won 21 games with a career low ERA (1.89) posting ten shutouts and fanning 229 batters.
She played professionally for the Wesseling Vermins of Germany in the fall of 2011 after graduation, starting in five of the team’s seven contests in September of that season, with a 3.56 earned run average and two complete-game shutouts... She graduated in May, 2011 with a degree in communications.
2011 (Senior): 2011 Atlantic 10 All-Tournament Team, Second-Team All-Atlantic 10, NCCSIA All-State... Compiled a 21-12 record and a 1.89 earned run average... The 21 victories were fifth-most in a single season in program history... She went the distance in 31 games and recorded 10 shutouts on the year... Against UNC Greensboro on Feb. 18, she struck out a career-high 15 batters and versus Elon on April 13, she came three outs shy of a perfect game.
Hackett finished 2-2 in the conference tournament with an ERA of 1.37 over 30.2 innings in four games... She helped Charlotte to a 3-0 shutout victory of Temple in its first game, and then led the Niners to a 3-1 victory over the Owls in their first elimination game... Hackett pitched a strong 10 2/3 innings, only allowing three runs and striking out seven in Charlotte's final game of the year, as it fell to St. Joseph's, 3-2 in 11 innings.
2010 (Junior): Posted a 2.87 ERA in 26 appearances ... Started 22 games and finished 17-6 ... Struck out 132 batters in 148 2/3 innings ... Pitched a complete game shutout against Temple on April 18 ... Went the distance 14 times ... Accumulated a 7-3 record with a 2.62 ERA in conference games ...
2009 (Sophomore): Appeared in 19 games last season with 17 games started ... Struck out 85 batters with an ERA of 2.78 ... Finished the year with a 8-5 record, including a 5-1 mark in conference games ... Walked only 29 batters in 103.1 innings pitched ... Pitched a 10-0 shutout on April 4 against La Salle ... Pitched nine complete games on the year, including five in conference matchups ...
2008 (Freshman): Appeared in 42 games with 28 starts in the circle en route to 16 wins and a team-leading 2.02 ERA ... Her 176 season strikeouts in 225.0 innings shot her to the top of the single-season record books ... Had all three saves for the 49ers during the season ... Threw 23 complete games ... Held her opponents to a .243 average ... Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week of April 7th after turning in her first collegiate shutout with a two-hitter win against Saint Louis and her first career save in game two of the series against the Billikens, striking out a dozen batters along the way ... Threw four additional shutouts on the season, including a complete game three-hitter against Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10 Tournament ... Also tossed a one-hit shutout of La Salle ... Posted three double-digit strikeout games, 11 against both North Florida and La Salle and 10 against UNC-Greensboro ... Threw 5.2 scoreless innings against Charleston Southern in the Green & White Classic ... Tossed 6.2 scoreless innings at USC Upstate and five scoreless innings at both Elon and George Washington.
Prep: Was named First team All-Region, First team All-County, First team All-State, Gwinnett County Pitcher of the Year ... Gwinnett Daily Post Pitcher of the Year and Atlanta Journal Pitcher of the Year during her junior and senior seasons.
Personal: Daughter of Michael and Pamela Hackett ... Has one brother, Cody ... Birthday is March 2.
