College Football Performance Awards Players of the Week

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- University of New Mexico punter Ben Skaer earned a College Football Performance Awards honorable mention for his effort Saturday night in the Lobos' season opener against UTSA.

Skaer, a senior from Waterloo, Ill., punted seven times during the Roadrunners' 21-13 victory, for a 47-yard average with a net average of 44.4 yards per attempt.

Skaer hit three punts of 50 yards or more and landed four punts inside the UTSA 20, including two that were downed at the 1.

Dating to the 2012 season, Skaer now has earned CFPA honorable mentions for four consecutive weeks.
