ATLANTA, Ga. – The University of New Mexico Women’s Basketball program has received another national academic honor. Coach Sanchez and the Lobos were ranked 23rd in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s Top 25 Academic Honor Roll with a team grade point average of 3.372 for the season. It marks the sixth consecutive season the Lobos have been in the WBCA Academic Top 25.

“Our program has always built itself on a strong academic foundation, and the WBCA’s Academic Top 25 has been an important measure of that. To be ranked in the top 25 academically in Division I Women’s Basketball for a sixth-straight season shows how hard our team works in the classroom,” said Head Coach Yvonne Sanchez.
