L.F. "Tow" Diehm Athletics Facility
All student-athletes at The University of New Mexico train in the All Sport Weight Room, located on the first floor of the L.F. "Tow" Diehm Athletics Facility.
The state-of-the-art facility is one of the finest in the country. The bright, airy structure encompasses 10,000 square feet of the industry's most modern equipment, allowing Lobo student-athletes that "extra edge" for maximizing growth potential.
"First and foremost, coaches can bring recruits into this building and show them that The University of New Mexico is committed to having first-class facilities," says Mark Paulsen, director of UNM's strength and conditioning program. "From a functional standpoint, we're able to train in the off-season in three groups as opposed to six or seven groups in our old facility."
The facility is open to all UNM student-athletes, regardless of the season so training can continue well into the off-season.
As well as having state-of-the-art equipment in its facility, the University of New Mexico also has staff members constantly on the ready should a student-athlete need assistance. All members of the staff are credentialed and are among the finest in the country.
The All Sport Weight Room was funded by a $547,000 donation from Pepsi-Cola West.
The Tow Diehm Facility is located at the south end of University Stadium. University Stadium can be easily accessed by exiting off I-25, just south of the Big-I, at Avenida Cesar Chavez. Head east on Avenida Cesar Chavez. After crossing University Boulevard, University stadium is located on the right.
