2013: Ran five times for New Mexico, finishing as one of the Lobos' top three runners at each meet ... Started his season at the Notre Dame Invitational with a 29th-place time of 24:59.1 over five miles ... Posted three consecutive second-place team finishes, including a 24th-place finish at the Wisconsin Invitational (23.44 over 8 kilometers) ... Was third overall (and second on the team) at the Mountain West Championships in Colorado Springs, covering the eight kilometers in 24:16.88 ... Claimed eighth overall at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships with a time of 29:47.2 over 10 kilometers ... Wrapped up his season with a 61st-place showing at the NCAA Championships, finishing third on the team in 31:00.1. 

2012: Competed at five meets for the Lobos, scoring at four as one of UNM's "core four" ... Opened at the Notre Dame Invitational with a 69th-place finish (24:40 over 5 miles) ... Placed as the team's second-best finisher at the Wisconsin Invitational, completing the 8-kilometer course in 24:01 to place 52nd overall ... Registered a sixth-place finish at the Mountain West Championships, running to a time of 24:42.74 as the team's No. 4 finisher ... Finished as UNM's No. 4 finisher again at the NCAA West Regional Championships, placing 25th overall with a 30:52.7 clocking over 10 kilometers ... Competed at the NCAA Championships, but dropped out after the 4K markafter dealing with a bout of food poisoning.


Transfer from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff...Finished 4th at the British Universities & Colleged Sport (BUCS) Cross Country Championships...Took runner-up honors in the 5K at the 2012 BUCS Championships...Has career bests of 3:43.71 in the1500m; 8:05.16 in the 3K; 13:57.61 in the 5K; and 31:10 in the 10K.


Son of Colin and Beverley Bitchell...Has one sister, Leah...Hobbies include watching Arsenal F.C...Has an Arsenal tattoo on his right arm.
