2013: Ran at five meets for New Mexico, scoring at the final four ... Debuted at the Notre Dame Invitational, placing 174th over the 5-mile course ... Ran to three straight fourth-place team finishes at the Wisconsin Invitational (69th overall, time of 24:11 over 6K), Mountain West Championships (8th, 24:35.19) and NCAA Mountain Region Championships (23rd, 30:04.5) ... Took 157th at the NCAA Championships, scoring with at time of 31:52.2. 

2012: Competed as part of the Lobos' "core four", scoring at five meets for UNM ... Opened at the Lobo Invitational, placing fourth overall and first on the team with a 19:14.2 time ... Took 33rd at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing the 5-mile course in 24:21 ... Led the men at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, placing 43rd with a 23:59 time over the 8K course ... Claimed eighth at the Mountain West Championships with a clocking of 24:43.53, earning all-conference honors ... Was the team's No. 3 runner at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships, running to a 22nd-place time of 30:48.7 over 10K ... Struggled at the NCAA Championships, working through a rough race en route to placeing 227th with a 32:14.1 time over 10K.

2011: Emerged as one of the Lobos top-three runners as the season wore on...Competed at the last five meets of the season, starting with the Notre Dame Invitational, where he placed 42nd with a 24:52 time...Placed 55th at the Wisconsin Invitational (24:33)...Took fourth at the Mountain West Championships, clocking in at 25:12.2...Posted the 23rd-best time overall (and second on the team) of 31:15.5 at the NCAA Regionals...Led the Lobos at the NCAA Championships in the stead of injured Nicholas Kipruto and Ross Millington, placing 139th with a 31:07.2 time.

2010: A solid No. 6 runner for the Lobos, competing at six meets...Opened at the Lobo Invitational with a 12th-place time of 25:31.6...Posted finished of 49th and 63rd at the Kachina Classic (25:24.5) and the Roy Griak Invitational (25:06), respectively...Placed 24th at the Notre Dame Invitational, finishing in 26:19...Finished the MWC Championships with a 31:26.5 time, placing 51st.

2009: Competed at three meets (Lobo Invite, Kachina Classic and UNM vs. NMSU) unattached.


A 2009 graduate of Rio Rancho (N.M.) High School...Only lettered one year in track for coach Sal Gonzales, but left as the school record holder in the mile (4:22)...3-year letterman in soccer, where he was named All-Conference...Conference champion in the 3,200.


Born in Rio Rancho, N.M....Son of Kent and Linda Stam...Has two older brothers, Brandon and Cory...Majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
