2013: Competed at five meets for New Mexico, scoring at each meet ... Debuted at the Notre Dame Invitational, placing 28th overall with a five-mile time of 24:56.4 ... Took 42nd at the Wisconsin Invitational, covering the 8-kilometer course in 23:56 ... Captured fourth overall (and third on the team) at the Mountain West Championships with an 8K time of 24:26.07 ... Placed 17th at the NCAA Mountain Region Championships in 29:54.2 over 10K ... Was UNM's No. 2 scorer at the NCAA Championships, placing 53rd overall in 30:55.9. 

2012: After running unattached at the first meet, competed for the Lobos at the final five meets of the season as one of the "core four" ... Opened competition for the Lobos at the Notre Dame Invitational, taking 31st overall (and second on the team) with a 24:21 time over the 5-mile course ... Claimed a 24:05 time at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational, placing 61st overall and fourth on the team ... Took bronze at the Mountain West Championships, as his 24:38.49 time took second on the team ... Was UNM's No. 2 runner at the NCAA Regional Championships, finishing the 10K course in 30:36 ... Placed 133rd at the NCAA Championships, scoring as the No. 4 runner with a 31:00.4 time.


2011: Opened the season with a 94th-place 25:34.40 time in the 8K at the Roy Griak Invitational hosted by Minnesota ... Claimed 141th at the Wisconsin Adidas Invitational, completing the 8K in 25:03.10 ... Notched a personal-record time of 23:55.00 in the 8K at the 2011 Pac 12 Cross Country Championships, placing 24th ... Also finished 24th at the NCAA DI West Regional, running the 10K course in a personal-best time of 30:06.00.

2010: Took second place at the George Kyte Classic, hosted by Northern Arizona, running the 8K in 26:21.0 ... Finished 11th at the Dave Murray Invitational, running 4.25 miles with a time of 21:41.14 ... Finished 10th at the Desert Twilight Cross Country Festival, running 15:28.2 in the three-mile race ... At the Pre-Nationals, had an 8K time of 25:54.6 ... At the Pac-10 Championships, Zacharias had a time of 25:11.33 in the 8,000-meter run.


A graduate of Albuquerque Academy, Zacharias was the team captain his junior and senior years ... He was selected first team all-city his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons ... A first-team all-district and all-state honoree all four years ... Took third place at the 2011 New Mexico State Championships in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters ... .Placed 13th at the Nike Cross Country Championships in Portland, Ore.


Son of Chris and Cheri Sanger ... Has a sister, Emma ... Hobbies include basketball, a sport in which Zacharias could dunk since 8th grade.
